TradeMax wins 5th Oman Web GOLD Award on E-Commerce

TradeMax once again wins a GOLD Web Award on e-Commerce during the Fifth Web Award ceremony held at Al Bustan Palace, (Inter Continental Hotel) on January 16th, 2010. Ahmed bin Hassan al Dheeb, Under-Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, was the chief guest at the award ceremony. Excellent participation and interest was clearly evident with all 24 categories well represented.

Some of the categories included:

Banking and Finance
E-Commerce
Travel and Tourism
Health Services,
Forums and Oil and Gas to name few.

On E-Commerce categories the winners were: TradeMax wining First Prize, Khimji’s: Luxury & Lifestyle, Second Prize; Omanbay.com, Third Prize.

Winner for E-Commerce category:

First Prize: TradeMax
Second prize: Khimji's On line Luxury Shopping
Third Prize: Omanbay

Members of the jury panel were from a number of countries throughout the Pan Arab region, to ensure fair evaluation of all participating websites.

The criteria for the judging the websites was as follows: Concept/Creativity (20 per cent), Technical/Ease of Use/Navigation (25 per cent), Content/Structure (25 per cent), Visual Design Solution/Aesthetics (20 per cent), and Interactivity (20 per cent). In each category, three winners were declared in categories of First, Second, and Third.
